As the Distance Education Coordinator and trained in instructional technology/design, I get the opportunity to teach a variety of different classes. Here are the classes I am teaching this semester:

Web Design I: Dreamweaver

Basic and intermediate principles of designing Web pages/sites using the Dreamweaver web design software and HTML. Emphasis will be on good design and the use of tables, frames, forms, rollovers, DHTML, XHTML, behaviors, and CSS. Also includes site maintenance and the integration of multimedia components such as graphics, sound, animation, and video. This course is for the content person to design, develop, and maintain effective Web sites.
Past Courses
- What is Universal Design for Instruction?: A one hour introduction to the 7 principles guiding Universal Design for Instruction. The principles will be presented with examples of how to utlize them in the classroom. The course will also include a discussion about the addition of 2 more principles.
- Customizing Your Instruction Using Universal Design for Learning Strategies: An in depth look at customizing your instruction by using a universally designed curriculum to include teaching for individual differences in each of the 3 primary brain networks: Recognition, Strategic and Affective. We will look at examples of universally designed content offering multiple means of representation, expression, and engagement and how you can develop this type of instruction effectively in your classroom.
